Scott Sorkin Trio
September 14, 7:30 pm – 10:00 pm
I’m so excited about this new organ trio, where I’ll be collaborating with veteran first-call Bay Area players Eddie Mendenhall, and Jason Lewis. While the organ trio format is well established (guitar, Hammond B3, drums), this group is focussed on exploring harmonically inventive songs as vehicles for creating atmospheric and textural sonic landscapes. We’ll present original music alongside compositions by John Abercrombie, Wayne Shorter, Monk, Jaco Pastorius, and others.
Come on out, and enjoy some food, wine, and great live music, in a great local listening room.
2 sets- 7:30p, 9:00p
“Sirens of the Pacific” – John Worley & Mo-Chi Quartet with vocalists Morning Nichols, Kat Parra, Wendy Waller, and Amy Dabalos
Presented by Pacifica Performances
…this San Francisco Bay Area ensemble, evokes vivid memories of Brazilian samba and bossa nova music before the Tropicalia Movement introduced rock music into the menu of the first wave of bossa singer/songwriters in the early 1970s.

Brazilian jazz in a very posh, but comfortable lounge.
Rare appearance of our Canadian contingent Jennifer Scott on vocals and piano, and Rene Worst on bass. They’ll join Kristen Strom on sax and vocals, and Jim Kassis on drums. I’ll be holding down the guitar chair.
This is a new venue from our old friend Matt T.
Come join us to celebrate.
